PRRT Insurance Coverage: Update on how Community member Myna was able to have her treatment covered by insurance.
Video from our last meeting on Carcinoid Heart Disease by Dr. Jerome Zacks of Mount Sinai. The session provided an excellent overall understanding of NETs as well as detailed information regarding Carcinoid Heart Disease.
Our next meeting in Walnut Creek is this Saturday, April 4th from 12-3 where our guest will be Dr. Jerome Zacks, Carcinoid Heart Specialist - Mount Sinai, New York via web conference. Dr. Zacks will speak at 12:15 so please arrive in time to hear his presentation. Technology willing, we will try to have this presentation online within a week.
Our next meeting in Walnut Creek is this Saturday, February 7 where Dr. Nicholas Fidelman from UCSF will update us on Interventional Radiology and NETs. Dr. Fidelman was a recipient of one of our 2014 Education Travel Grants to attend NANETs. The subject of Interventional Radiology will not be covered at the March 1 conference at Stanford. Dr. Fidelman will begin his talk after our break.

This Sunday, March 22, 2015 - NorCal CarciNET Community at the Oakland Running Festival - We have signed up more than 50 runners / walkers to raise NET awarness in the Bay Area. We will be at Snow Park in Oakland at 7:30a for the 5k if you would like to join us. Look for the Zebra balloons - There will be nearly 10,000 people in the park on Sunday.

As many of you know ASCO GI will be coming to San Francisco this week. NorCal CarciNet Community and the Neuroendocrine Carcinoid Cancer Awareness Network will be on hand as exhibitors at the conference. Before his flight back home to Nashville, Dr. Liu will be joining us on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 9 am to noon at the Peninsula Jewish Community Center in Foster City for a breakfast conversation on NETs. Dr. Liu will bring us up to date on the latest in NETs from the ASCO GI conference as well as the latest news from the Healing NET Foundation.

This meeting will take place at the PJCC at 800 Foster City Blvd in Foster City.
